Mixed Media Tag Song Inspiration ABBA LAY ALL YOUR LOVE ON ME

Hi, my awesome crafty friends, welcome back for the new challenge! I hope you all had a great weekend. Now, let's have fun and play the new challenge! Our theme at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge this week is "Inspired by a Song". I am sure that you at least have one favorite song. For me, I love almost all songs by ABBA. So for this week, I created a mixed media tag inspired by ABBA's "Lay All Your Love On Me" using Sizzix Lumber 3D Fades Embossing Folder for the texture on the background and embellished with Tim Holtz Scribbles and Splats Thinlets Die.

To start this project, I first embossed the tag using Sizzix Lumber 3D Fades Embossing Folder and Big Shot to create the texture on the background. The tag was colored with Dylusion Melted Chocolate with a brush pen, then distressed using a blender with Dylusion Ground Coffee. 

I found these two antique photos in my stash and colored their shirts with colored pencils and outlined the photos using a black pen. The heart embellishments and sentiments were added from Tim Holtz stickers and die cut using Tim Holtz Thinlits. 

The metal embellishment were colored with Dylusion paint and attached on the tag using Tombow Mono Glue. I randomly added some star sequins as the final touch. While I was making this tag, I watched and listened ABBA's music video and got inspired with the beautiful 80's style. I hope you will join us and share your favorite sone.
