Mixed Media Art Journal Page New Year Party 2018

Hello, my dear crafty friends, welcome back for the new challenge! This week, our theme at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is "PARTY". We invite you to create something for a party. 

This challenge will run for 2 whole weeks, ending on the 1st January, so you have plenty of time to join in! We would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for a Happy New Year!

I created a mixed media art journal page to celebrate new year 2018 using Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Wood Slices Findings and Tim Holtz Rubber Stamp Party Hat Sketch to decorate the page.

To start this project, I sprayed some vibrant colors on the background of this art journal page. By the way, this art journal was made of watercolor paper and the size is 6" X 9". I colored the wood slices with Distress Paints and pasted the number 2018 on the wood slices using Tombow Mono Glue. 

The journal page were randomly added some text print and images with Tim Holtz Remnants Rubs. 

The party hat, music instruments and camera were stamped on a piece of watercolor paper using black waterproof ink pad and heat embossed using clear embossing powder. I colored these embellishments with Distress Sprays with a brush pen and cut them out. These embellishments were pasted on the journal page using dimensional foam tapes. 

To finish off this project, I distressed and outlined the edges of the journal page using Faber Castell Big Brush Pens. I really enjoy creating this journal page with many beautiful vibrant colors and fun stamped embellishments.

Mixed Media Christmas Winter Holidays

Hello, my beautiful crafty friends, welcome back for the new challenge. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. This week, at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "Christmas /Winter Holidays". I was inspired to create a holiday decor using Idea-Ology Vignette Box Structure and decorated it with Tim Holtz Decorative Deer Findings and Mini Woodland Tree Lot Findings.

To start this project, I covered the Tim Holtz Vignette Box Structure with Gesso using a brush pen. The Frozen Findings was pasted on the top of the box using Tombow Mono Glue. I also attached two tiny bells on it. 

I added the Christmas sentients on the wood slices and pasted the wood slices in the box. In the box, I  created some snow with modeling paste. The deers were colored with Tim Holtz metallic paint. I paint the mini Christmas trees using Ranger Spray Stain with a brush pen and added some Gesso to create some snow on it after the spray stain was dry. 

The deers and Christmas trees were attached in the box using Tombow Mono Glue. To finish off this project, I added some blue paint randomly outside of the box. 

I really enjoyed creating this Christmas decor using these fun and beautiful Christmas elements on this project. Hope this holiday decor inspired you to create with us this week! Happy crafting!
