Mixed Media Card Real Friendship

Hello, my dear crafty friends, welcome back for the new challenge. I am so glad you are here again and play with us. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "BASED ON A BOOK". You can use pages of a book as part of your project or use a book as your inspiration. There are many way to interpret this challegne.

I created a mixed media card with an old book page and embellished it using Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Buckle and Prima Flowers Tin Heart.

This is a 4.25" X 5.5" card that I used cream card stock as the card base. To create the watercolor effect on the background, I first sprayed the Distress Spray with various colors on the Tim Holtz Layering Stencil, then pressed the watercolor paper on the stencil. The colored paper was cut and pasted on the card base.

I torn an old book page and distressed it with Art Dauber and ink pads. The metal embellishments were colored with Distress Paints, and pasted on the layered book page and torn corrugate sheet.  I then added the sentiment with Tim Holtz Big Chat Sticker.

Mixed Media Card Believe You Can

Hi, my sweet crafty friends. let's create and share! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "Transport It" - "Think Trains, Planes, Automobiles or maybe you can think of some other form of transport! Hot Air Balloons, Bicycles, etc, whatever you choose to use we will be looking forward to seeing what you make!".

I was inspired to create a mixed media card using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamp Pen and Pencil Stampers and added the sentiment with Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamp Mini Motivation.

The card base I used is 4.25" X 5.5" cream color card. On another piece of watercolor paper, I sprayed Tim Holtz Distress Spray over the Layering Stencils with different colors. The watercolored paper was cut and saw on the card base after it was dry. I stamped the sentiment on the same watercolored paper and cut the flag shape to pasted on the card. 

For the "Transport It" theme, I used the bicycle stamp on the watercolored paper. I attached this image on the card using staples. The Prima Flowers and leaves were added on the card for the final touch.
