Mixed Media Canvas Bloom

Hello, my dear blog friends, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. The week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our challenge theme is "Beautiful Bloom". I was inspired to create a 4" x 4" mixed media canvas using Prima Marketing Fairytales Poetic Rose Flowers and embellished with Tim Holtz Idea-ology Metal Word Band.

I started this project with coloring the background of the canvas with Distress Paints in different colors. The leaves were die cut using the Big Shot and Sizzix Garden Green Thinlit Die. I colored the Tim Holtz Word Band with Distress Paint and attached it on the canvas with fasteners.

After adhered the roses on the canvas with the heavy gel, I pasted the sentiments on the flower using Tim Holtz Metallic Stickers.

Mixed Media ATCs Down on the Farm

Hello, my crafty friends, welcome back for the new challenge. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "DOWN ON THE FARM". I was inspired to create three ATCs using Sizzix Lumber 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder on the background and embellished with Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps 2019 stamped farm animals. 

I started this project with embossing the 3.5" X 2.5" heavy card stock using Tim Holtz Lumber 3D embossing folder and Big Shot. The embossed ATCs were colored with Distress Paints for the wood grain texture. The farm animals were stamped on the ATCs using the black ink pad and then heat embossed using the clear embossing powder.

On a piece of heavy card stock I stamp the farm animals and colored them using the watercolors and a brush. The colored animals were cut without the legs and pasted on the ATCs to the already stamped animal images. The hearts were die cut and colored using Distress Paints. I stamped text prints with Prima Stamp and the black ink pad, heat embossed with clear embossing powder, then pasted them on the ATCs. 

The sentiments were added with stamped texts and Tim Holtz Rubs on. I hand painted the ground and  grass on these ATCs with Distress Paints and a brush. I used a Faber Castell Big Brush pen to outline the edges of ATCs and colored the eggs using a white Gelly Roll pen.
