Mixed Media Canvas Starry Night

Hello, my lovely blog friends, welcome back for the new challenge. I hope you all had a great weekend.  This week at Simon SaysStamp Monday Challenge, we challenge you to create with the theme "STARRY NIGHT". I was inspired to create a mixed media canvas this week that was decorated with Tim Holtz Sizzix Die Crescent Moon & Stars and Idea-ology Photobooth Vintage Photos.

I started this project with applying the night sky color scheme on this canvas using Distress Paints. I also created some texture using Ranger Clear Crackle Paint. The stars were die cut using Sizzix Crescent Moon & Stars Die and Big Shot with the chipboard. They were colored with Distress Paints and covered with the Ranger Clear Crackle Paint as well for the texture. 

I layered the photos, colored the quote token and attached these embellishments on the canvas using Zots Adhesive Dots. Some sentiments were added using Tim Holtz Quotation Stickers. As the final touch, I randomly stamped some text print on the canvas using the metallic ink pad, and on the stars using Simon Says black ink pad.

Mixed Media Art Journal Cityscape Hope

Hi, my talented blog friends, welcome back for the new challenge! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we challenge you to create with the theme "CITYSCAPE". What does your city look like? Does it have lots of high rise buildings and lots of traffic? There are so many products that you can use to build your cityscape and I can't wait to see what you create.

I was inspired to create a mixed media art journal page with The Crafters' Workshop Small City Buildings Template and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology Story Sticks.

I started this project with sprayed some different shades of Tim Holtz Distress Spray on this watercolor journal page. I applied various colors of Ranger Dylusions Paints over Crafter's Workshop Small Building Template using the Blending Brush. 

I colored the buildings with watercolors and then stamped some text prints with Simon Says Stamp Ink Pads and Prima Marketing Clear Stamp. 

The metal embellishments were attached on the journal page using Zots Clear Adhesive Dots. I stamped the sentiments with Tim Holtz Rubber Stamp and Simon Says black ink pad. I really enjoyed creating this cityscape themed journal page with these fun and bright colors, and I hope you got inspired by my project. Join us this week and happy crafting!
