Mixed Media Tag Happy Hour

Hello, my friends, I hope you all had a great weekend and welcome back for the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "Happy Hour". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Mini Stencil set 39 for the texture on the background and embellished it with Tim Holtz Mini Blueprints Cocktail Cling Rubber Stamp.

To start this project, I applied Modeling Paste over the Tim Holtz Mini Stencil using a palette knife on the tag to create and texture. I then applied Distress Paints on the background and the edges of the tag with various shades. 

On a piece of heavy white card stock, I stamped the beverage images with the black ink pad, and colored them with Copic Markers. These images were cut and pasted on the tag using foam tabs. 

The metal flowers and word band were colored with Distress Paints and attached on the tag using Glue Dots. I added some sentiments using Tim Holtz Rubs on and Quotation Metallic Stickers. To finish off this project, I splattered some Gesso and water mixture randomly on the tag.

Mixed Media Tag Metallic Brutus Monroe Dog Rockstar

Hey, crafty friends! Welcome back for the new challenge! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our challenge is "Add Something Metallic". As it is the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a particular brand and this time we are all using some fabulous Brutus Monroe Products 
This week we are welcoming the lovely and super talented Ashley aka She Is Crafty into the Designer Spotlight. Please be sure to visit her blog for all the fantastic creations and inspiration.

I was inspired to create a mixed tag using Brutus Monroe Clear Stamp Rockstar Pets and colored the tag using Tim Holtz Flip Top Distress Paint. To start this project, I embossed this size 8 tag using Tim Holtz Foundry 3D Texture Embossing Folder and Big Shot. The background of this embossed tag was colored and distressed with Distress Paints Metallic Shades. To create more texture, I stenciled the background with Tim Holtz Mini Stencil set 39 and the mixture of Modeling Paste and yellow Distress Paint using a palette knife. 

On a piece of white card stock, I stamped the pet image using Brutus Monroe clear stamp and black ink pad. The image was colored using Daniel Smith watercolors and cut using a scissors. I adhered the image and stamped sentiments with foam tabs.

The metal word band and the clip were attached on the tag. I also adhered the star sequins and added more sentiments using Remnant Rubs.
