Mixed Media ATCs Down on the Farm

Hello, my crafty friends, welcome back for the new challenge. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "DOWN ON THE FARM". I was inspired to create three ATCs using Sizzix Lumber 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder on the background and embellished with Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps 2019 stamped farm animals. 

I started this project with embossing the 3.5" X 2.5" heavy card stock using Tim Holtz Lumber 3D embossing folder and Big Shot. The embossed ATCs were colored with Distress Paints for the wood grain texture. The farm animals were stamped on the ATCs using the black ink pad and then heat embossed using the clear embossing powder.

On a piece of heavy card stock I stamp the farm animals and colored them using the watercolors and a brush. The colored animals were cut without the legs and pasted on the ATCs to the already stamped animal images. The hearts were die cut and colored using Distress Paints. I stamped text prints with Prima Stamp and the black ink pad, heat embossed with clear embossing powder, then pasted them on the ATCs. 

The sentiments were added with stamped texts and Tim Holtz Rubs on. I hand painted the ground and  grass on these ATCs with Distress Paints and a brush. I used a Faber Castell Big Brush pen to outline the edges of ATCs and colored the eggs using a white Gelly Roll pen.

Mixed Media Tag Spring Gina K Foiled

Hello! Happy Fools' Day! My friends, so glad you are back. As this is April Fools Day we thought we would have some fun with a play on words! This week Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "Don’t Be Fooled Be Foiled!" There are so many techniques that we can use to apply foil to our creations!

As it is the first week of the month we are showcasing a particular company and this week we are all using some fabulous Gina K Designs Products! This week we are welcoming the super talented Sabrina aka It’s Time To Create-My Mixed Media Corner. Please go to her blog and check all her awesome projects!

I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Translucent Alcohol Ink Yupo Paper on the background and decorated it with Thermo Web Gina K Design Sweet Mango Fancy Foils and Sizzix Geo Springtime Thinlits Die. To start this project, I first applied Alcohol Inks on the Yupo Paper with different colors. While the alcohol inks were still sticky I applied the foil on the Yupo paper.  The colored Yupo paper was adhered on the tag using Double Side tape. 

To create the butterfly, on a piece of heavy white card stock, I pasted the double side tape then applied the foil. I die cut the butterfly with this foiled paper, then pasted the die cut butterfly on another piece of already colored Yupo paper using Tombow Mono Glue. I cut the Yupo paper with the butterfly die on it. 

To make the foiled leaves, I also using the double side tape on a piece of heavy card stock and applied the foil on it. I die cut the foiled paper using the leave die and Big Shot. 

Some Prima Flowers were adhered on the tag with the butterfly and leaves using Prima Heavy Gel. The tag was distressed with Distress Paint. I added the sentiment using Tim Holtz Stickers. For the final touch, I splattered some Gesso and water mixture randomly on the tag.
