Mixed Media Tag Vintage Past Times

Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back! Hope you all had a great weekend and let's play the new challenge! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "VINTAGE / PAST TIMES". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Baseboard Frames and Idea-Ology Silverware Adornments for the embellishments. 

I started this project with cutting the patterned paper from the Tim Holtz Lost and Found paper stash to paste on this size 8 tag as the background. The vintage photo was cut out from the same paper stash and framed with two base board frame layered and glued with Tombow Mono Glue. 

The tag and photo frame were distressed with a distress tool, and Distress Ink Pads and the blending tool. The metal embellishments were colored with Distress Paints and pasted on the tag using Glue Dots. 

I added the sentiments using Tim Holtz Quotation Stickers and Tiny Text Rubs. Some Distress Paints were applied on the tag for the vintage and distress effect. I really enjoyed creating this vintage style tag using the old picture and various distress effect. Hope you got inspired and create with us! Happy crafting!

Mixed Media Tag Things with Wheels Road Trip Explore

Hi, crafty friends, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and welcome back for the new challenge! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "THINGS WITH WHEELS". I was inspired to create mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Mosaic for the texture on the background and embellished with the stamped images using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamp Travel Ways. 

To start this project, I applied the modeling paste over Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Mosaic on the tag using a palette knife for the texture. The background was colored with Distress Paints in different colors. I heat embossed the tag with the clear embossing powder.

On a piece of heavy card stock, I stamped the images with Tim Holtz Rubber Stamps Travel Ways and Simon Says Stamp ink pads. These images were heat embossed, cut and pasted on the tag. The gear embellishments were die cut, colored with Distress Paints and pated on the tag, too. 

Some sentiment stickers were added on the tag. I randomly splattered some Gesso and water mixture on the tag as the final touch.
