Mixed Media Tag Fall/ Autumn

Hello, my talented crafty friends, welcome back for the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "FALL/AUTUMN". Fall is my favorite time of the year since kids are back to school, the weather is cooling down, and the trees and plants change colors. I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Sizzix Fall Foliage Thinlits Die for the leaves and embellished the tag with Idea-Ology Photo Booth Vintage Photos.

To start this project, I colored this size 8 tag with Distress Paints using yellow, orange and brown shades on the background, then applied a layer of Crackle Paint on it.

On a piece of white card stock, I die cut lots of fall leaves and colored them with Distress Paint and Simon Says Stamp Ink Pads using different colors, and outlined the leaves with brown Distress Paint and a brush pen. I layered the leaves and the two vintage photos and pasted them on the tag using Tombow Mono Glue.

The metal token and keyhole embellishments were adhered on the tag using Tombow Mono Glue. I splattered some Distress Paints and water mixture on the tag, and pasted Idea-Ology Metallic Stickers as the final touch.

Mixed Media Note Holder Back to School Explore Dream Discover

Hi, my talented crafty friends, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "BACK to SCHOOL". I was inspired to create a mixed media note holder using Sizzix Collage & Notebook Texture Fades Embossing Folders for the background and Tim Holtz Rubber Stamp Life Quotes for the sentiment.

To start this project, I embossed the chipboard as the base of the note holder using Tim Holtz Collage & Notebook Embossing Folder and Big Shot. The background was colored using Distress Paint with different colors, and distressed using Distress Ink Pads.

On a piece of white card stock, I stamped the sentiment, torn the paper and distressed the edges using Distress Pad. I also embossed two piece of embellishments, colored and pasted them on the note holder. 

The metal embellishments were added on the note holder using Glue Dots. The sticker sentiment was attached to finish off the project.
