Hello, my lovely crafty friends, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving holiday and weekend. Now let's play the new challenge! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, out theme is "Star Light, Star Bright". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamp Christmas Nostalgia and added some sentiments with Idea-Ology Christmas Remnant Rubs.
I started this project with applied black, dark blue and purple colors of Distress Paints on the background of this size 8 tag to create and dark sky. I distressed the edges of the tag using black Distress Paint. The background was stamped and embossed with snowflakes using Tim Holtz Christmas Stamp and Ranger White Embossing Powder.
I stamped the Santa and reindeers image using Tim Holtz Christmas stamp and black inked on a piece of white card stock. The stamped image was cut and pasted on the tag. I added more holiday sentiments on the background using Idea-Ology Christmas Remnant Rubs.
I stamped some Christmas tress on the background using Tim Holtz Tree Line Stamp and black ink. The snow was created with Prima texture pasted and Ranger Snowflake Embossing powder. I added two decorative reindeers that were colored with metallic paints on the tag.
