Celebrate Red, White and Blue

Hello, my blog friends! Happy WOYWW! I've been having so much fun
playing with these colors and some recycled stuff. I was also inspired by
the part of the quote from The Secret Garden at Artists in Blogland and
made this art joural page that is currently on my work desk.

"The sun is shining...That is the Magic. The flowers are growing--the roots are stirring.
That is the Magic. Being alive is the Magic--being strong is the Magic.
The Magic is in me--the Magic is in me. ...It's in every one of us."
I punched a star and cut some stripes on cardstock, used the negative
as stencil and sprayed the red and blue colors on my journal page.
Used the inkpad and sequin waste to make some dots on the background.

This is my favorite part - used toilet paper roll as stamp to make some fun
circles. Just stamp as many circles as you want.
I also used the bubble wrap and Mix'd Media Inx to give some more interest on
the background. I love the rich and creamy color of this white mixed media ink.

Added some more sentiment using the archival ink and clear stamp.
I outlined the stamped images with wet brush pen and Mix'd Media inx.
Here is the final look and I love the colorful result.
I really appreciate that you stop by.
Hope you all enjoy your day and happy WOYWW. ^_^

  25. Hi Meihsia - It's been too long since we've visited!!!! This piece is brilliant! I love that you are so genius about creating your own stencils. It impresses the heck out of me (I feel like such a loser for buying them haha) I took note of everyone you used - thanks SO MUCH for that!!! I never thought of my punches as stencil potential!!! This piece is so brilliant. I love your country's flag so much and your rendition is gorgeous. I love the non traditional. Canada Day was this past weekend as well and it is so beautiful to see the two holidays so close together! (well a weekend apart - yours being now) I must say this is one of my fav renditions and the MOST fav is your generous description of how you created it. I would not have guessed in a thousand years, other than to say "she must have bought those stencils!" Brilliant girl you! Nice to see you again. Happy PPF (on thursday - a tad late! lol) Lovies, Samara
