Mixed Media Canvas I Love You

 newchallenge sssm

Hello, my crafty friends! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we challenge you to use "RESIST" technique. This is the definition on our challenge blog:

Resist techniques in art use the incompatibility of two mediums to create layered effects with color and texture. There are so many products that we can use to create a resist, and this week, we are showcasing RANGER PRODUCTS. You don’t have to use them to join in, but if you have them we would love to see them used.

I was inspired to create a mixed media canvas wall hanging.

Simply Paper Crafts Meihsia Liu Mixed Media Canvas Love Simon Says Tim Holtz Prima Flowers 6001
I really love beautiful Spring weather even it is raining. On this canvas, I stenciled the sentiments with Tim Holtz Stencil and Distress Paints, then heat embossed it using ColorBox Clear Embossing Powder.

The background then was colored with Koi watercolors after those sentiments were heat embossed - this was the resist technique used on this project.

Some Prima Flowers and metal embellishments were attached to decorate this lovely Spring themed canvas.

I used Crackle Paint ROCK CANDY Distress Clear Ranger to create the texture on the colored die cut butterflies.
