Hello, my dear friends, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we have some awesome new designers joining us and sharing their fabulous creations. Be sure to visit their blogs and check their work. For the challenge this week, "With the throw away society that we live in we thought we should take a look through our ‘rubbish’ and use something that we would normally put in the bin! Yes, please create your project with up-cycled or recycled materials. I can't wait to see what you will create!
I was inspired to create a mixed media tag with some kid's toy packaging.
I had so much fun using the materials from the recycle bin to decorate the tag this week. After embossing the #8 tag to create the texture, I colored the background with Colorbox pigment ink pads using Art Dauber.
I stamped the sketch image with Tim Holtz Pen and Pencil Stamp on the clear plastic toy box, cut it and pasted it on the tag using Tombow Glue.
The gear was die cut using the cardboard from the same toy packaging and then colored with Distress Paint.
Some metal embellishments and sentiment stickers were attached on the tag using Tombow glue. The seam binding bow was colored with Distress Spray and tied on the tag.
I really had fun to create this tag with those embellishments made with toy packaging. Hope you like it and got inspired to make your own project. Happy crafting!
