Adventure Begins Mixed Media Canvas

Hi, everyone, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. This week, it is "Anything Goes" at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Yes! ANYTHING GOES! I created a mixed media canvas to display on my desktop this week.

I really loved this sentiment from Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamp 2015 Life Quotes so I decided to use it on my canvas. To start this project, I glued the Tim Holtz tissue warp on the canvas with Gesso.

To create the texture, I applied Modeling Paste over Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Measured, and distressed the edges with Ranger Paint Dabber. The edges were also embossed with Gold embossing powder.

Some Tim Holtz metal embellishments were attached. I randomly applied some words on the canvas with Tim Holtz Remnant Rubs.

Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $50 gift voucher that will go to a random entry chosen by Random Generator. So please join us for this week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. You might also be on our Friday Designer Spotlight. Good luck!

I really appreciate you stop by my blog and hope you all have a wonderful week.

Faces in My Art Journal

Hey, friends, I'd like to share some faces I painted on my art journal this week. I made the background on these pages with mostly ColorBox products - Spritzers, Inks, spray and stencils. And the girls were painted with watercolor.

I'd like to link my projects to Kim Dellow's Art It Friday and Art Journal Everyday. Thank you so much for dropping by.

Mixed Media Art Journal Compass

Hi, my lovely crafty friends, I hope you all had enjoyed your weekend. The weather is getting warm. Our family really enjoys the great weather, and spends more time in the garden and outdoor sports. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we challenge you to create something inspired by "DUE DATES" - libraries, date stamps, craft assignments, a new baby or school assignment, I can't wait to see your interpretation.

I was inspired to use a date stamp on my art journal page.

I love using date stamp to document life. On this art journal page, after coloring the background with Distress Spray Stain and water mixture, I stamped the date with American Crafts Dear Lilly Date Stamp.

There are more dates and numbers were added using Tim Holtz Idea-ology Numbers Remnant Rubs.

The compass was stamped, die cut and assembled with three layers to make the dimension using Sizzix Framelits Compass Blueprint Die And Stamp Set.

The rope was stamped using 2015 new Tim Holtz Rubber Stamp. The letters on the background were stenciled with Tim Holtz Layering Stencil and Modeling Paste. I colored the letters using Distress Stain Ink Metallic.

I hope you like this art journal and get a chance to create your next project with these awesome products.
