Halloween Art Journal Page with Watercolor Effects

newchallenge sssm

Hello, my lovely blog friends, I am so happy you are back for another challenge for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. This week, we challenge you to use watercolors or create watercolor like effects on your project. Watercoloring is a very trendy topic right now and there are is a whole array new and exciting products entering the market! Paint Cakes, Pencils, Pens, Ink Pads and much more. Let's play the water and colors!

I was inspired to create a Halloween themed art journal page with watercolor effects.

I always love experimenting different mediums to create watercolor effects. On this journal page, I decided to create the Halloween theme with the watercolor effect using Distress Spray Stain on the background. I first sprayed Distress Spray Stain with different colors on the background of the page, then spray water to create the watercolor look.

The images were stamped with Tim Holtz Undertaker Stamps and the yellow splat was die cut using Sizzix Scribbles and Splat Thinlits die.

I added some metal embellishment and Tim Holtz Rubs on the page. For the sentiment, I used Tim Holtz 2015 Small Talk Stickers.
