Hello, my friends, so happy you are back. The new challenge theme this week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is Stamp and Mist. Stamps and mists (color washes, etc) are two products that used a lot on paper crafts. Color sprays and stamps are also a great combination. You could emboss or stamp an image and spray over it, or use mist to ‘ink’ a stamp. This week, share us your project that features at least one stamp, and one mist or color wash/spray.
I was inspired to create a sunshine garden journal page.
Distress Spray Paint is one of my favorite art mediums to create mixed media projects. On this art journal page, I first applied Gesso on the page, then I sprayed Distress Spray Paints on the page to create the misty background.
To create the patterns, spray the Distress Spray Paint over Layering Stencils. The sentiment was stamped with Tim Holtz Rubber Stamp and embossed with ColorBox Clear Embossing Powder.
I added some Tim Holtz rub-ons randomly on the background. The metal flowers from Prima Flowers were colored with Distress Paints. The hearts were die cut and distressed with red pigment ink using an Art Dauber.
The leaves were cut with the burlap from Tim Holtz Textured Surfaces. I glued all the embellishments with Tombow glue.
