Coloring Digi image with Gelatos

Hey, friends, I found a project in my photo gallery again that hasn't been shared here. This cute image was colored with Gelatos and I love the beautiful result. Hope you like it, too ^_^

Here I applied the Gelatos on the craft sheet first then mixed with water using aqua brush pen.

Started with face coloring then hair coloring using the brush pen.
Added different shades of Gelatos for dimension.
Used black PITT artist pen big brush as ink to stamp the sentiment.
Added more interest with stitchies and gems.

Thank you for looking. Happy crafting!

Howdy from Texas

Howdy y'all! Friends! This week, we have a fun theme at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - "this is where the cowboy rides away...."

Will you use Tim Holtz western stamps? Do something cowboy inspired? Maybe do something with a setting sun, or about saying goodbye? Maybe you’ll be inspired by old western movies, the desert, cactus, or just colors that remind you of the wild west.

I was inspired to create a star shaped chipboard decoration for my craft room.

I live in Texas where you can see lots of western style or cowboy related decorations. This week I decided to combine the elements of star shape, metal, and red, white and blue colors to create a wall decor for my craft room.

I started this project with applying Gesso on a 10" star shaped chipboard that I purchased at local craft store.

The Tim Holtz Faucet Knobs and Prima Flower Bottle Caps were attached on this chipboard after the Gesso was dry.

The Metallic Distress Ink Stain and Ranger Distress Paint were applied on the background and those embellishments to make the coordinated metal look. I heat embossed with clear embossing powder randomly on this piece.

I also used brush pen to color the Idea-ology Facuet Knobs with red, white and blue Ranger Paints.

To finish this mixed media piece, I added Tim Holtz Alpha Parts Ransom letters and Hemp Cord.

Quick and Simple cards

Hi,  my dear friends,  today I'd like to share two cards featuring the fun foundation for paper crafting - the ColorBox® Creative Cards.

I used the ColorBox® Creative Card as card base and made two quick and simple cards. It's fun and easy to finish projects with these preprinted cards.

You can also simply decorate the preprinted cards by spraying or stamping over the design then layering embellishments onto dry card.

I hope you enjoy my project and try these beautiful and simple ColorBox® Creative Cards for you next project. For more information about the supply list, please check ColorBox Blog.  Thank you for stopping by.

A is for Air Brush

Hi, my dear blog friends. hope you all enjoyed your weekend. We had such a fun Anything Goes challenge last week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and I was impressed by all your great creativity and beautiful projects.

This week, we are having an alphabet inspired challenge. "A is for ? " Will you use product from American Crafts? Create a whole album? An Assemblage? Use Adhesives in a special way? Whatever your take – this week we are all about the letter A.

I was inspired to create the background patterns on a scrapbook layout using an Air Brush system by Copic Marker.  In the picture of this layout, Natalie was so happy holding two big sweet strawberries which was her favorite fruit.

I had so much fun when the first time I played with Copic Marker Air Brush System last year in the Copic Certification class. Since then I love to use it to create the grafitti effect on my art journal pages.

This week I decided to use the Air Brush System, Copic Markers, and Heidi Swapp Heart Cluster Stencil to create the background pattern on this layout.

After spraying the Color Shine over the stencil, I used art daubers to apply the pigment inks on those hearts. I then traced the outline of those hearts with American Crafts Precision Marker.

To make the dimension on these hearts, I used the air brush to apply different shades of Copic Markers.

I just love the gorgeous Prima Flowers and the Say It in Crystals gems.

Keep layering the patterned papers and embellishments to make my layout more interesting.

Family is Everything

Hey, my dear blog friends, hope you all had a great weekend. This week, the Simon team is busy at CHA so while they’re away we think it is time to cut loose and play! Yes! This week anything goes!

Before sharing this week's project,  we are saying good bye to our long-time team member and amazingly creative artist Candy Colwell. She has shared so much of her talent, done so many amazing creations, and commented on so many of the beautiful projects shared in our challenges – We'll all miss you, Candy!

For the project this week, I created a mixed media home decor to display on my family room bookshelf.
I was inspired by the sentiment - Family is Everything - to create this mixed media project.  Since it's Anything Goes this week, I used many different fun mixed media elements on these two 3" X 6" chipboards.

After cutting these chipboards using Tim Holtz dies, I pasted the dry wall tape on one chipboard and crinkled tissue paper on another one. I then applied the Gesso, acrylic paints, distress paints and Gelatos on the background.

The sentiment on the first chipboard is a sticker from Little Yellow Bicycle, and I stamped some patterns and newsprints on the second chipboard.

After drying each layer with a heat tool and attaching the Prima Flower and die cut hearts, I sealed the finish with Glaze.

I really love the beautiful textures of modeling paste and crackle paint on this project.
