Playful

Hi, there, I'd like to share a layout I made using the beautiful sketch from
Let's Get Sketchy and combine the colors from CCG Inspiration Board #245.
Here is my layout.
The challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show this week ask chellenge players to
use their favorite ink to create a project. My favorite inkpad is ColorBox
pigment inkpad and fluid Chalk inkpad from Clearsnap. I used these inkpads
to color the background of this layout. Here is the close up.

This is the beautiful sketch from LGS.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope you will join us for this fun
challenge. For more inspiration, please check our talented designers at
their blogs or Color Combos Galore.

WOYWW - Doodling

Hello, my friends, happy WOYWW!! Let's hop around different
workdesks around the world. I've been playing colors and making
some coasters these days and these are the markers, brushes and some
projects I am working on currently on my work desk.

Here are some steps to show you how I made this project
First, I cut the linen canvas paper into a 4" circle, drew an elephant using a pencil. Colored the image and background with Gelatos®.

Covered the image and background with a thin layer of Gesso to make the colors softer.

Stamped randomly on the background with the text stamp.

Drew some lines to make the image more interesting.

The final step is covering the front and back of the coaster with Glaze. I did it twice to make sure the coaster is totally sealed and waterproof.

Made another fun and cute coaster here using the same technique and products.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a great WOYWW!!

Life La Vie En Rose

Hello, everyone, what a beautiful Sunday! Let's start it with a piece of beautiful
music - the theme song of our second Scarp and Music challenge.

Yes, it's such a pretty song that inspired me to make this layout with the beautiful
vintage Prima paper as background and metalic color sprayed roses and
some more embellishments.
In the photo, Natalie was playing her iPhone and so enjoyed browsing the photos
that she took. Here is a close up photo of the details.

Due to 15th May

Sketch #2 by Amarilys Doria

Music: La Vie En Rose (Édith Piaf)
Des yeux qui font baisser les miens,
Un rire qui se perd sur sa bouche,
Voilà le portrait sans retouche
De l'homme auquel j'appartiens
[Refrain]
Quand il me prend dans ses bras
Il me parle tout bas,
Je vois la vie en rose.
Il me dit des mots d'amour,
Des mots de tous les jours,
Et ça me fait quelque chose.
Il est entré dans mon coeur
Une part de bonheur
Donc je connais la cause.
C'est lui pour moi,
Moi pour lui dans la vie,
Il me l'a dit, l'a juré
Pour la vie.
Et dès que je l'aperçois
Alors je sens en moi
Mon coeur qui bat
Des nuits d'amour à plus finir
Un grand bonheur qui prend sa place
Des ennuis des chagrins s'effacent
Heureux, heureux à mourir.
Quand il me prend dans ses bras
Il me parle tout bas,
Je vois la vie en rose.
Il me dit des mots d'amour,
Des mots de tous les jours,
Et ça me fait quelque chose.
Il est entré dans mon coeur
Une part de bonheur
Donc je connais la cause.
C'est toi pour moi,
Moi pour toi dans la vie,
Il me l'a dit, l'a juré
Pour la vie.
Et dès que je l'aperçois
Alors je sens en moi
Mon coeur qui bat
Hold me close and hold me fast
The magic spell you cast
This is la vie en rose

When you kiss me heaven sighs
And tho I close my eyes
I see la vie en rose

When you press me to your heart
I'm in a world apart
A world where roses bloom

And when you speak...angels sing from above
Everyday words seem...to turn into love songs

Give your heart and soul to me
And life will always be
La vie en rose

Mixed Media Houses with Gelatos

Hey, my blog friends and Faber-Castell fans, HAPPY Friday! Today,
I am sharing with you these cute mixed media houses using my favorite
Faber-Castell product - Gelatos.
I had so much fun to play with these coloring products and can't stop to
create more different houses. Love these Gelato's vibrate color and they
are easy to use. Here are some quick steps to show you how I made this project.

First, I prepared the materials and tools including Gelato®, Stamper's Big Brush Pen®, Gesso, Gel Meduim, sequin waste ribbon and an old book page, etc.
I also cut a piece of linen canvas paper (size about 3" x 7") into a house shape.

After I drew some lines of the roof, window and door on the paper, I pasted some ripped small pieces of old book page using Gel Medium.

I applied different colors of Gelato on the paper randomly and black Gelato on the roof then used brush pen with water to spread the colors.

Next, I added a thin layer of Gesso to blend with all the colors and made colors softer. Then edged the house and outlined the window and door with black Gelato.

Drew some scalloped lines and shaded the window and door using the white Stamper's Big Brush Pen. I also used the Dot Dabber and sequin waste ribbon to make more texture.

After adding the cutout embellishments, I added a layer of Glaze to make a beautiful sheen and protect the surface.

I used the same techniques and made two more houses except on the left house, I used the Palette Knife and sequin waste ribbon to add Gesso on it.
And on the middle house, I used Gelato and white Stamper's Big Brush Pen to make bubbles and added some stamped text.
Please hop over Faber-Castell blog for more details of the supplies I used on this project.

I also share my project at: Artist in Blogland, Creative EveryDay and

Thank you for stopping by. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

This is my DT sample for this challenge. Click to enlarge the photo.
It's always fun to step out comfort zone. So on this layout, I try to use
more metal embellishments and more dark and metalic colors. I also got
inspiration from Finnabair.

WOYWW - Metal Birdhouse

Hello, blog friends, hope you all have a great week so far. I was not creative
last week since I was very busy with kids activities and volunteering. Plus
my eyes really gave me a hard time (dry eye + allergy) that I had to take a break
from internet or electronic devices.  Since I'm feeling a bit better now, I'd
like to share with you this birdhouse that I made about two weeks ago
and it's currently on my work desk.
I had fun to spray, color and attach all the embellishments on this
little bird house. I sprayed the house with dylusions ink spray and color
those metal gears, buttons, and diecuts with metallic acrylic paint.
I've made a layout using the same techniques and materials, check here.
I really appreciate that you stop by and hope you have a wonderful day.
Please check WOYWW to see more work desks around the world if you like.
Have fun!!
