This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we are playing anything nautical!
Whether you are inspired by the cruise liners or thinking about pirates or trip to the islands – please join us for the fun! From mermaids to sea critters, rich ocean blues to sandy glitters and embossing powders – let’s see what you can come up with!
I was inspired by the cruise trip our family had in this summer and made a 12" X 12" canvas layout.
During our cruise trip in Alaska, the most amazing part was seeing the gorgeous glaciers and ice fields. We truly enjoyed the natural beauty of Glacier Bay National Park and the cities along the way. To keep these beautiful memories of our vacation, on the background of this layout I used the Gesso, Gelatos, modeling paste with stencil and crackle paint to make the ice and ocean look.
The Maya Road banners were covered with Gelatos and crackled paints. I distressed the edges of the feathers. Love the Americna Crafts cute glittered buttons and the white string.
I used Tim Holtz cling stamp, watermark ink and clear embossing powder to heat embossing the background. These circles remind me of the beautiful ice floating on the water over the sea.
The Tim Holtz Cling Artful Voyage Rubber Stamps and Stuido Calico roller date stamp are perfect for the date and sentiment.
Use the Prima Flower arrowheard stencil to trace and stencil the triangles. And decorate the layout with Prima Flower resin embellishments.
Every week, Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $50 gift voucher to a random winner, so please join us by making a nautical themed project and share it at Simon Says Monday Challenge this week. You might be also on the designer spotlight on our Friday post.
Here are some photos I took during our Alaska trip to share with you.
Embarkation from Anchorage - took this photo from our cruise ship
