Be Mine

Hi,friends. Happy Saturday!
This week the at Our Creative Corner our talented designer Lisa Minckler
challenge us to use this sketch to make a Valentine card.
The sketch can be rotated and we need to be able to see all the
elements from the original sketch, but used however you like.
Follow it exactly or alter it as long as all elements are present.

I've combined this sketch with The Shabby Tea Room's inspiration photo.
Here is my take on it.

Please check our DT's blogs for more inspiration
about this week's challenge.

  1. Meihsia,
I'm blown away! This freakin' rocks. I am sitting here looking at the two challenges you combined to create this gorgeous card and I'm nearly, but not quite, speechless. You've nailed the sketch and the colors of those mittens show perfectly in your creation. Where on earth did you get that groovy wooden bingo button? LOOVE that!
Fantastic job on this challenge my friend.
    Big hugs to you,
    Lisa xx

  4. Hello Meihsia,
Your card represents love and affection perfectly, not just with your colour palette, but also with your images and elements that you have used, creating different textures and dimension.
The placement of your different shapes to match the sketch shows innovation; opting for less structure to create your balance, this is brave as it could have easily looked jumbled, but the reality is that the card is so very pleasing to the eye.
    Smiles :-)

  5. Meihsia, I am in awe over your card! I just love the vintage elements, the sentiment tags, and the different trims. I also love the colors, and that polka dot paper is just adorable. The different materials used (wood, metal, twine, buttons, pearl brad, etc.) are just gorgeous the way you used them.
I'm sure that our followers will be inspired by your lovely mushy card. hugs, sharon w.
