Jubilee

This is my desk looks like this morning. See other crafters' desks at:
I made two postcards in 4" X 6" to participate
Sunday Postcard art -  Jubilee because it’s Diamond Jubilee weekend
in U.K. celebrating her Majesty’s 60 years on the throne.
The rolled paper rose is covered with UTEE and the die cut flower
under it is coverd with clear rock candy distress crackle paint.
The scalloped circle under the clock hand is recycled from
kids' toy packaging.

Here is another 4" X 6" postcard.

These postcards also enters the challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Jubilee Crowns
Artists in Blogland - show and tell saturday 27
Creative Everyday - June 4-10
Recycle, Re-purpose & Reinvent - Anything goes and Heavy Metal

Thank you for stopping by. Hope you have a nice weekend.... :)

  2. Meihsia, All the pieces are wonderfully regal. I love the doodles and the photos of the Queen at different ages. Our paper money as well as our coins have pictures of her on it and it is nice to also see it on a piece of art. I especially like the soft one with doodled frame you created around it. Thank you for sharing this with us on Recycle, Re-Purpose & Re-Invent and hope you will come play with us again.

  3. I really like what you've done with the Jubilee artwork - the design is very intricate with all the layers. I like the fact that you've recycled some bits and pieces as well. It's vintage but funky...nice!

  4. Meihsia...these are such fun post cards. The doodling that you have added is a great touch and I like the various queen pics. Adding the metal embellishments was a clever idea to add some vintage flair. Thank you for sharing this with us at Recycle, Re-Purpose & Re-Invent. I hope you'll share more of your work with us in the future.
